Abington to host free Celtic music concert on Oct. 25

ABINGTON, Pa. — Penn State Abington invites the community to a free concert celebrating Celtic music from around the world on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Enjoy an evening of lavish vocal harmonies and rich instrumental textures performed by the Chivalrous Crickets, whose repertoire shines with boldly reimagined standards and original songs with traditional influences. This genre-crossing five-piece band explores the roots, branches and crossroads of Celtic, English and American folk music.  

The Crickets play at a diverse range of venues from museums to schooners and canal barges, Early Music concert series to Celtic folk festivals, churches to barns, and speakeasies to theaters, from Maine to Maryland and beyond. 

The concert will beheld on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m., at Sutherland Auditorium at Penn State Abington, 1600 Woodland Road. Admission is free.
